PAINTS, COATINGS AND INKS

1.- BIOCIDES

Microbial infestation is a concern of the paints and coatings business. Throughout the use of Biocides it is possible to control the constant growth of bacteria and fungus in wet areas, whatever the situation- on decks, painted exterior surfaces, kitchens, baths, dark basements- whatever the substrate- wood or drywall, stucco and concrete- anywhere there is potential for microbial attack, there is a biocide to provide protection. We have a wide range of antimicrobial agents applicated to interior and exterior paints, adhesives, matting, marine paints for ships.

2.- WETTING AND DISPERSING ADDITIVES

Dispersing additives represent the introduction of a new technology that permits the manufacture of universal concentrates. The additives stabilize organic pigments in solvent based and water based systems; the pigment concentration distinguishes themselves by excellent colour strength with very low rubout values.
The wetting additives are highly effective in reducing the surface tension of water-based systems and radiation curing printing inks. The susceptibility of water-based coatings to cratering is thus minimized. In automotive and industrial coatings these products are outstanding for improving the susbtrate wetting of spray applied paints.

3.- DEAERATORS

In water-based and solvent-based systems it is easy to see a distribution of small bubbles and craters in the applied paints, whether in the automotive industry or in architectural coatings. There exist special additives to prevent this foam and bubbles to get an excellent finish.

4.- HIDROXIMONOMERS

We distribute special acrylic monomers used to fabricate resins. These resins are raw material for automotive paints and electrical appliances for white line. Among them, we can mention the hydroxiethyl metacrylate and the hydroxiethyl acrylate.

5.- PH LEVELLING ADDITIVE

This product is an amine that is used as a neutralizing agent and dispersant, replacing ammonia to enhance PH stability and reduce odour levels in water-based systems. Besides, this amine gives other benefits such as: higher scratching resistance, reduce the levels of co-solvent, improves greatly the Biocides efficiency and the overall rheology performance.

6.- ANTIOXIDANTS

These additives protect the coatings against the oxygen attack. In the case of automotive industry and architectural coatings, the paint may be cracked and the color changes to dull and yellowish if it is not protected with a good antioxidant.

7.- CORROSION PROTECTION

It is not surprising that huge resources are committed to protect ships, bridges, steel structures and concrete walls from this fate as long as possible. The high cost and complexity result not only from the immense surfaces that have to be coated regularly. Polyurethane based coatings are excellent products to protect this kind of surfaces.

8.- FLAME RETARDANTS

We distribute paints and coatings additives to provide flame retardance and low smoke generation.

9.- UV STABILIZERS

We count with a wide range of additives for coatings that protect over the action of the UV rays in material which are sun exposed, such as: coatings for cars, ships, buildings, Venetian blinds, curtains, etc.

10.- SILICON ADDITIVES

Silicon based additives can be added to the paints formulation and architectonical plasters to protect the surfaces that are in direct contact with water.

11.- SPECIAL ADDITIVES

Effective slip additives, high surface smoothness, scratch resistance and anti-blocking characteristics at very low concentration are the main properties expected on floor coatings, that can be achieved by the use of our products.

12.- POLYURETHANE COATINGS FOR TEXTILES AND FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATES

Many different types of polyurethane coatings are applied to fabrics and synthetic leather to increase the abrasion resistance and durability, provide hydrostatic resistance (durable to washing and cleaning), with or without breathability, soft hand touch and can give a glossy or dull surface.

13.- ANTIGRAFFITI RESINS

These additives are the first choice for clear varnish systems and give the varnish an additional bedding effect, which spoils the “artists” spraying fun.
